Flyers Game

On Sunday, November 16th, my dad, my sister, my other half and I went to my first Flyers hockey game.  It was pretty exciting.  Granted I have had more fun doing other things, but as far as a sporting event, this was pretty close to being numera uno (#1 for those of you who do not understand my mis-spelled spanish).  I think that I would have enjoyed the Sixers game even more if I would have experienced it long enough to make that type of decision.  But, Kenny’s stomach decided to make all of the decisions.  HAHAH

It was pretty saddening that our seats SUCKED!  Kenzie even called them the “bloody nose” section.  Thank the Lord that I did not get a bloody nose.  It would have been all over the person whose seat was right in front of mine.  Meaning-there was barely any leg room.  The chocolate-dipped icecream was fabulous.  Wow, that was super random.

Well, the pictures didn’t turn out that great.  I need a telephoto lense super bad.  Unfortunatly this particular lense is $464.95 + shipping ( $15.15 ) = $480.10.  Yeah, not anytime soon.  Especially considering that we have to get Kenny tires for this winter.  I want a wide angle lense which is going to run me about the same price.

Anyways, enjoy the pictures!!

Love in the City

So, I literally just finished watching Sex and the City, the movie.  I have never before watched a single episode of this series.  Then again, I rarely watch television shows.

The movie was not only about 4 women, their sexual encounters and fashion in the big apple, but it was mainly about that little four letter word - love.  To make a long story short… I am a sap, a romantic, a fall for anything kind of gal… therefore, I cried like a baby.  Just thinking about that stuff makes me tear.

I did not think that I was ever this bad when it came to chick flicks.  In fact, I know that I was never this sappy. I used to laugh at my mom and friends when they cried at movies like this one. What happened to me?!?!?!?   So, I tried to figure out why I was this emotional.

I came to this conclusion:  Nothing in the ‘romantic’ category happens to me.  Yeah I am in a serious and quite the long-lasting relationship, but I do not remember the last time we ever did anything that was truely romantic.  Ouch, that was on the border of a self-burn.  I get so jealous when my friend’s other halves do something out of the ordinary.  For example; Ashlee’s wonderful man drove all the way from North Carolina to Williamsport with a surprise weekend stay.  She hadnt the slightest clue he was even considering the drive, especially knowing the extremely high price of gas.

On V-day every year I would make sure I was single so that some random guy of the moment wouldnt impress me with cheesy flowers or a corny necklace.  And I remember telling ken that tid-bit of information when we first started talking during the beginning of our relationship - the all-night phone calls.  But something seriously changed with me and my perspective about that day and that little four letter word.  This past V-day, I was so very jealous of Chelsea, and how Curtis was preparing this wonderful romantic day for them.  I was like WOW!  And, no offense, I couldnt help but bitch about it to ken.  It was out of pure jealously.  I am so dumb.  They really do love each other.  And it’s so cool to watch their relationship grow stronger.

So, back to the movie.  it was a very good movie for ‘chicks’.  haha.  That movie gave me a bit of that romantic stuff that I do not receive.  Therefore, I should be set for a while.  I forsee me getting my next dose when I go see Nights in Rodanthe.  mmmm Richard Gere.  hahah.

Watkins Glen

This past weekend Kenny and I went to Watkins Glen, and Corning, NY. The initial reason why we I decided to travel out of the area was to take a break from the never-ending drama and stress at the workplace a.k.a. AT&T.  We drove up Saturday evening, then we went to a movie theatre and watched Tropic Thunder.  That movie was pretty funny by the way.  After the movie We ate dinner at The Outback Steakhouse.  Delishesousness!  We ordered cheesecake to-go… heheh.  Sunday morning we drove to Watkins Glen State Park.  Honestly, I wasn’t too impressed.  I forgot my tri-pod for my photography!  It was a disaster.  Although, I did have some pictures that turned out pretty decent.  [they are down below]

After finishing up at Watkins Glen, I really wanted to go see the Corning Glass Museum.  And that we did.  Prior to entering the Museum, Kenny went into the gas station to take money out of the ATM in case we needed some cash.  While at the ATM he noticed that there was still a $20 bill in the machine.  He looked around to see if anyone would have forgotten it, or if anyone would have claimed it… but there was no one fitting that description to be located.  This next part might be PG-13 for you youngins… he kept that $20 bill and took out some cash of his own.  He was not a good samaritan.  He committed a crime of (as Jeff would say, “bad ju ju”.  I did yell at kenny, but the little person on my shoulder was dancing up a storm celebrating… I think she did the worm.  When Entering the Museum we saw that the entry fee was 12.50 for an adult.  And there was a discounted price for college students as well.  Kenny and I walked up to the front desk and were about to purchase the ticket when the woman told us that there was only about and hour left until they closed the museum.  She asked if we still wanted to walk around (we said yes), and then she gave us the tickets and told us to just go and see as much as we could… for FREE!  I was ecstatic.  You can only imagine me in an art museum.  I was like a fat kid in a candy shop.  I was in pure amazement.  I LOVE ART!  Its a passion of mine.  We saw a glass blowing demonstration.. which was super cool.  I wanted to buy everything in their shop.  I really want to go back there so that I can see everything in the museum.  It was depressing that we didnt have enough time to wonder around and take in all of the beautiful art and pure talent.

My unorganized future

Lately I have been trying to figure out what I will be doing over the next few years.  Currently, I am working at AT&T (I am actually using the terminal at work to write this… who seriously keeps a business running on Labor day???).

I took a break from college because honestly I couldn’t afford it, and I sorta got kicked out because of my poor grades and my lack of motivation to attend class.  I blame this on Kenny.  [just kidding] I want to go into graphic design when I grow up - whenever that will be.  I could actually go back January 2009, but I really don’t know that I want to.  First of all, Kenny works for the college - sort of, it’s an affiliate.  So, that would mean that his immediate family would be able to get their tuition FREE!!!  But, that would also mean that we would have to get married.  Well, hehehe, we have been talking about doing this next fall.  Possibly next late Sept. or early Oct.

That being said, I would have to push my college life back to either fall of ‘09 or spring of ‘10.  And then it hit me (actually ken lectured me on this and then wrote a paper for his one class on it), I really do not need a piece of paper saying that I am good at art.  But then again, alot of places will not consider you for hire without one.  And, with that being said, why am I still here at AT&T?  I should be trying to be a graphic design job.  Oh yeah, the places that I would want to work are not around here.  And, I do not feel like driving to State College.

I would totally move out of my parents house and buy a house in State College, but currently I cannot afford it comfortably.  Which is why Ken and I, for the time being, have decided to stay with our parents for as long as we can, until we get hitched, to get a place.  This will be nice for saving up money, but not so awesome because we arent living together any longer :-(

I have also considered going into management here at AT&T.  But, honestly I hate retail with a passion.  And I would have better benefits being apart of the union (management is not union).  I am very thankful for Curtis telling me about his position here.  Without that knowledge, I would still have my piece of crap Jetta.  But at the same time, wish I would have just stayed out of retail.  bah humbug!

Super Mario

Everyone knows how much that I L.O.V.E. Mario and everything about him.  I adore the way he waddles and his mustache (it’s so much fuller than kenny’s).  But. I really like the theme song.  I recently came across a few awesome but weird ways people played the theme song…

Two Guitars

Wii Music

I found these videos very interesting and I hope you do too!!!

hip to the hop

Tonight while I was closing the AT&T store with Lindsay, I was walking towards the back room and then it happened - my shoe broke!!!  This is about one of the worst things that could possibly happen to a woman.  Especially when the shoe cost *cough cough* $30.00 and they are only a few months old.

What really disgusts me is that I didnt trip or walk out of the ‘norm’ to make them break.  I was simply walking.  So, for the rest of the night I was walking around with one of my healed-sandals on and the other sitting beside my purse in the back room.  The good news is that I wasnt pathetic enough to cry about it.  I basically just made fun of my self… and Lindsay helped.

As far as the hopping goes - I hopped out to my car and then realized that I left my keys inside the building in the back room.  I then had to hop back inside of the building and then back out to my car.  And to make matters worse I tripped and then stubbed my toe. AND… (I know, just when you thought I was done blabbing) the driveway at my parents house is nothing but stones and I hopped up the driveway to the deck and then tripped up the stairs.  I AM SORE.

P.S. I am starting a fund for a new pair of shoes.

Woot for WordPress!

I have lately been reading about different blogging sites and today I came across some interesting information…

The most popurlarly use blogging sites
The most popularly used blogging sites

… Wordpress is by far the most popular and most used site for blogging. No surprise, really.  After reading more of the results from this survey, I also realized that even though more people use wordpress, more people are also more disapointed with wordpress.  Imagine that?!?!  [I used more a lot more than I hoped to in that last sentence]

The third runner up ended up being expression engine.  They had alot of positive feedback.  64% of their users (which took this survey) were satisfied.  I would give the %-age for wordpress, but its embarrassingly low.

I will keeping using this wordpress thing.  However, I might just take a little peek at that expression engine.

By the way, the batteries in my brand new wireless keyboard died.  It was a tragedy.  Services will be held Sunday at 1ish in the afternoon at the burner barrel.  In the mean time, I will be using this piece of crap keyboard in which the keys are super stiff and continuously stick.  Cards and replacement batteries (AA) will be greatly appreciated.

It’s been quite some time

I honestly cannot think of anything to write in here… well, that would be appropriate. I take that back… I am really excited for this Saturday and Sunday - I am going to cheer for kenny and his parents and his co-worker (Steve) while they do some 12 hour race.  I think they are crazy in the head for even thinking of doing something like this race… but oh well.  I will be there for support - and the smore’s of course!!!  We are going to be camping out.  I think its going to be a blast, I take that back too… I know it is going to be a blast.  It will be my first time going on a camping trip with ken… if you would actually put this in the category of a camping “trip”.   This is enough for now.

Keep watch for some photos.
